Politicians Come to West Tennessee

West Tennessee has gotten a lot of attention from politicians in the last week! Starting with a meet and greet with Bill Lee at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Baskin Jr. It was followed by a meet and greet for Marsha Blackburn at the Balcony. Tipton, Lauderdale, and Shelby County residents were at both meet and greets. Candidates spoke on issues surrounding our community, our state, and the national platforms. They thanked their supporters and asked them to help get voters to the polls.

A surprise guest at Marsha Blackburn’s event wowed the audience. Eric Trump spoke about his father’s administration and the wins they’ve achieved. Eric said that the U.S. has had the lowest unemployment since the 1960’s, GMP is at 4.2%, and that consumer confidence is at its highest in years. It’s not often that you get to see a presidents son, let alone a sitting president! Supporters got to shake Eric Trump’s hand and take a photo with him.

In a final campaign tour stop, Bill Lee and David Kustoff made their way to Munford, stopping at the fire station and greeting a packed house of supporters. They discussed the up-coming election and asking people to go ahead and vote early or on election day and to just make sure to VOTE!
